On the Road Again!
This year we are making
another Model T trip to Colorado where we will join a regional
tour sponsored by the Model T Ford Club of Tulsa and the Model
T Club of Northern Colorado.
There will be five Model Ts
making the drive from Texas to join the organized tour in
Loveland, CO and about 65 other Model Ts from all over the US
on a five-day progressive tour crossing over five major
mountain passes in five days. The group from Texas will
be traveling up Phantom Canyon Road in central Colorado and may
choose to drive up Mount Evans, the world’s highest
mountain with a road to the top.
The regional tour will first
cross over Trail Ridge Road to Granby, CO. The second
day, we will cross over Rabbit Ears Pass to Steamboat, CO.
On the third day the tour will climb back up Rabbit Ears
Pass and drive north to Saratoga, Wyoming. The fourth day
will climb Snowy Range Pass and back down to Walden, CO and on
the last day the group will travel over Cameron Pass and finish
the tour in Loveland, CO.
The group from Texas plans
to include a trip up Pikes Peak on July 1st, the first day of
the return trip to Texas.
